| 30 HOUR FAMINE Good Shepherd youth joined with youth from Church of the Redeemer and St. Paul’s, Kansas City, MO, for the 30 hour famine on June 11th and 12th. The youth baked cookies which were donated to St. Paul’s, Kansas City, Kansas, served breakfast to the homeless at St. Paul’s in KC, KS, and went on a canned food scavenger hunt. The canned goods collected were donated to the Backpack Shepherd Program. Thanks to all who sponsored our youth as they went without food for 30 hours to provide monetary support for World Vision. When we’re interested, there’s much more to dig into to deepen and strengthen our faith. It’s time to go back and visit the historic ―rootedness‖ in our faith—by exploring real events and real people God has worked through to make our country what it is—and us who we are-—today.
