Good Shepherd Knitting Group The Good Shepherd Knitting Group continues on first Tuesdays! The July get-together will be on Tuesday, July 6 at 6:00 PM in the Common Room. You can bring your current knitting, any finished knitting projects you’d like to show off, and any patterns/books you’d like to share. Anyone is welcome to bring dinner to eat, a snack to share, or nothing at all! For more information, contact Mary Lee.
20/30’s GROUP ORGANIZATION MEETING Last May we invited you to dinner and a discussion of what the Church of the Good Shepherd can do to better meet your spiritual needs. Out of those discussions came a definite interest in seeing a 20/30’s age group form. Please join us on July 11 after the 10:15 service to move forward in organizing this group. We will be brainstorming future activities, as well as discussing leadership roles. For more information, please calll Anthony Lee
YOGA Get out your mats. Get ready to get fit and limber. Many people think that yoga is just stretching. While stretching is certainly involved, yoga is really about creating balance in the body through developing both strength & flexibility. Sessions are Monday and Friday. Both classes go from 5:30 to 6:30 pm. The cost is $35 per session or $10 per class. All are welcome—boys, women, girls and men. For more information, contact Jacquie Wood.
CAMPING The annual Good Shepherd campout at Pomme de Terre Lake will happen on July 10th and 11th. Make reservations by going to www.recreation.gov or call the toll-free number: 877-444-6777. Look for Nemo’s Landing and reserve sites 60—65 and 98—103, which are close to bathroom and shower facilities—$16.00 per night with a two night minimum. Campsites do have electricity and water is available at the restroom facilities. Reservations should be made as soon as possible, as they fill up quickly. There are also motels nearby for those non-camper types: The Eagle’s Nest (417-852-4301) or The Clearlight Inn (417-745-2500). We will have a communal supper on Saturday evening, so bring a dish to share. Contact Phil or Daniela Graham for assistance or other information
